About

The King James Bible Study of Tulsa is a blog for Christians that believe in a Bible that one can hold in their hands.  A Bible that is given by inspiration of God, preserved by God, infallible, perfect, and without error.  Tulsa, Oklahoma has churches on every street corner, but we are not sure there are any Bible believing churches in Tulsa. Most if not all the churches in Tulsa, like most cities, are Bible correcting churches.  Churches that will destroy a Christian’s faith in God and the Bible. The King James Bible Study of Tulsa blog is a place for Bible Believing Christians to discuss the Bible issue as well as to discuss “rightly dividing the word of truth.”  Believing in a Bible that is real, you can hold in your hands, given by inspiration of God and preserved by God, infallible, perfect, and without error is just the first step. The next step is to rightly divide the word of truth.  Rightly dividing determines right doctrine.  For example, the first division in the Bible is between the Old Testament and the New Testament.  The Old Testament and New Testament are not the same.  There is a natural division that occurs between the Old Testament and the New Testament.  There are other right divisions to be made in the Bible.  This is just one.

Psalm 12:6 (KJV) The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Psalm 12:7 (KJV) Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV) Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

  1. I need help finding a home Church. Here is what I’m looking for. A Full Gospel Trinity Church that preaches out of a real Bible (KJ) and has a blended worship. They must have standards but must love people regardless. Looking in Tulsa but could be anywhere in a 40 mile radius. Please HELP!!!

  2. Hello,

I would like to order the KJV lapel pin. Today is Tuesday February 12th. I live in Pennsylvania. If I order it, am I able to receive it on Saturday? I believe Priority Flat Rate is 3 Days. Please let me know. Thank you.

  3. This is a very nice and comprehensive study bible. I really love the thumb index and study notes. I was specially looking for a King James study bible and this was a great choice! The leather is beautiful and it makes a great Christmas gift.

  4. You have a link to Chick tracts. Every single Chick tract on the last page says to be saved you must turn from your sins….. this is not found in the Bible. Turning from your sins is works salvation. A person is saved without works. Romans 10:9-13

Repentance is not to turn from your sins again you will not find that in the Bible. God repented several time in the Bible each time he did he changed his mind. Repentance is to change your mind from unbelief in Jesus to belief in Jesus.

Chick tracts teach lordship salvation which is works. Open your eyes.

    1. Scott, thank you for your interest in the King James Bible Study of Tulsa. Apparently, you do not like that Chick has “2. Be willing to turn from sin (repent). See Acts 17:30” in the back of their Gospel tracts. Your writing is somewhat incoherent and confusing. It appears that you make a difference between turning from sin and repentance. If you had read Chick’s scripture reference you would have seen Acts 17:30. Acts 17:30 (KJV) And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Based on this statement I would say that Chick makes “turn from sin” and repenting the same. You may want to read Acts 14:11-15.

Acts 14:11 (KJV) And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods are come down to us in the likeness of men.
Acts 14:12 (KJV) And they called Barnabas, Jupiter; and Paul, Mercurius, because he was the chief speaker.
Acts 14:13 (KJV) Then the priest of Jupiter, which was before their city, brought oxen and garlands unto the gates, and would have done sacrifice with the people.
Acts 14:14 (KJV) Which when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard of, they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
Acts 14:15 (KJV) And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God, which made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:

Paul is telling the pagan Gentiles to “We also are men of like passions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these vanities unto the living God”. Are you saying that Paul is preaching works salvation in Acts 14:15??? Paul is simply telling the pagans that they need to “turn from these vanities unto the living God”. What are these vanities??? These vanities are offering sacrifices to idols. In other words Paul is telling the pagans to quit doing works for salvation by offering sacrifices to idols.

Now you need to read Acts 26.

Acts 26:15 (KJV) And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
      Acts 26:16 (KJV) But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
Acts 26:17 (KJV) Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
Acts 26:18 (KJV) To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Acts 26:19 (KJV) Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
Acts 26:20 (KJV) But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
Acts 26:21 (KJV) For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.
Acts 26:22 (KJV) Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
Acts 26:23 (KJV) That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.

Acts 26:16-18 are the words of the Lord Jesus Christ to the apostle Paul. In Acts 26:18 the Lord Jesus Christ told Paul to “to turn them from darkness to light”. What is the darkness in this scripture??? It is offering sacrifices to idols. What is the light??? The light is in Acts 26:23, “That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles”.
The light is the Lord Jesus Christ and “light of the glorious gospel of Christ”. 2 Corinthians 4:4 (KJV) In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. I don’t know where you come up with this nonsense about turning from sins is works salvation and Chick is teaching Lordship salvation. Normally those that teach Lordship salvation are Calvinists. Chick is not a Calvinist.

Matthew 7:21 (KJV) ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 7:22 (KJV) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Matthew 7:23 (KJV) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Those that teach lordship salvation normally go to the gospels, for instance Luke 7:21-23. They like to use the phrase “If Christ is not lord of all, then he is not lord at all”. Lordship salvation is mainly used in churches to get saved people lost so they can get saved again. Chick is not teaching lordship salvation.

You may want to read what Chick says about repenting to understand what they mean. You can go to the following link for more information.
